Orange Lake Resort-Kissimmee, FL (Jan-Mar 07)


We returned to the Orange Lake Resort to enjoy another Florida winter. We stayed in the exact same unit in the tennis villa's again this year. We enjoyed having our daughter Vicki's family pay us a visit. A highlight of their visit was celebrating Sierra's fourth birthday. It has become an every other year tradition.

We worked at Disney's Wide World of Sports again this year. We really enjoy the work and the many friendships we've made with other snowbirds.

We also did a lot of volunteering at Give Kids the World which is such a blessing.

Disney Bahamas Cruise (1/25/07)

On 1/25/07 we headed out for a four day Disney Cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay. One of the perks we get working for Disney are discounted space available cruises which are great.

Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and activities on the island. Click here to see a short video of Castaway Cay.


While in Nassau we enjoyed checking out the beautiful Atlantis Resort.  We also enjoyed the great food, shows and fun on the ship.  Click here to view a video of the Atlantis Resort.




Vacation Village at Parkway - Kissimmee, FL (3/31/07)

On 3/31/07 we moved to the Vacation Village at Parkway for our final 2 weeks in Florida. This is a nice resort in a great location. We extended our stay a couple weeks so we could attend a family wedding. We were glad to have Marlene's parents join us for a few days before the wedding.

Wyndham Mountain Vista-Branson, MO (4/19/07)





On 4/19/07 we spend a quick 4 day visit to Branson for Marlene's brothers 60th birthday. We stayed at the Wyndham Mountain Vista Resort. We enjoyed spending time with all of the siblings and Marlene's parents. The party was held at the beautiful Chateau on the Lake which is one of nicest facilities in the area.  Click here to view a video of the Chateau on the Lake.

We also enjoyed Sunday brunch at the College of the Ozarks which has a beautiful campus.

Kahana Falls-Lahaina, Maui (4/28/07)





On 4/28/07 we spent the first of a four week stay in Hawaii at the Kahana Falls Resort in

Lahaina, Maui. The resort was clean and well furnished. It is located across the street from the beach where we enjoyed several beautiful sunsets. We took our morning walks along Ka'anapali Beach which is lined with beautiful resorts.

One day we took a snorkel trip to the beautiful island of Lanai which is just a few miles from Maui.  Click here  to enjoy a video of the sights Lanai.





We also enjoyed a day on the beautiful road to Hana which is a 68 mile drive with over 600 curves and 56 bridges. We left the driving to a van driver which a better way to go than driving yourself.  Click here to enjoy a ride on the roat to Hana.





I also enjoyed the beautiful sunrise at the 6700 foot level and then a 28 mile bike ride down the slopes of Haleakala.

Kona Hawaiian Village-Kona, HI (5/05/07)

On 5/05/07 we returned to the Kona Hawaiian Resort in Kona, HI for a three week stay. Since we had been there the previous year many of the staff remembered us which was nice.




We were glad to welcome guests from back home. Darrell and Carolyn from Illinois and Mike, Joyce, Amy and Phil for our home town.

Our first day trip was to the Place of Refuge which is now a national park.  Click here to enjoy the sights of the Place of Refuge.
 




We then went on to the famous Black Sand Beach which is on the south end of the island of Hawaii. video

We also took the hike down into the Pololu Valley which was hard work but well worth it.  Video


There was also time to enjoy the view from our unit and take a nap at the pool.

On our way home we spent the day exploring the North Shore of Oahu before the long flight back to Iowa.
