The Inn at Mazatlan MX. (1/25/01)

January 2001 found us traveling with Marlene's brother to their home resort at The Inn in Mazatlan Mexico. This is a beautiful resort right on the beach. This resort has a fine restaurant with a great view, beautiful grounds, and nice pools. We enjoyed shopping, sightseeing and great weather with family and friends.

El Cid Moro Tower Mazatlan MX (2/01/01)

After spending 4 days at The Inn at Mazatlan we moved up the street to the El Cid Moro Tower. This is a beautiful resort with lots of marble. One of the unique features of the unit was a shower with a view of the ocean. During our week there we continued to enjoy the beach and traveled inland for some great bass fishing. We also enjoyed some beautiful sunsets.

Fairfield Falls - Branson MO (4/20/01)

April 2001 brought us to our first timeshare visit to Branson. The Fairfield Falls resort is the oldest of the three Fairfield (now called Wyndham) resorts in Branson. It consists of eight 3 story buildings with no elevators. The units are bright and well furnished and in excellent condition, with a nice view of the surrounding area. During this visit we enjoyed many of the activities at the resort and well as several of the great shows in Branson. It was also a great time to visit family who live in the Branson area.

Vintage Landing - Lake of Ozarks MO. (6/04/01)

In June 2001 we traveled to the Vintage Landing resort on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. The resort is located on a small cove on the lake in the Four Seasons area of the lake region. The resort consists of 2 buildings with about 8 units in each building. A nice feature of the units was the large screened in porch. The only activity was a small outdoor pool. Guests were also allowed to use the amenities a the Lodge of the Four Seasons which is within walking distance. This resort is a small quiet resort. We enjoyed the various attractions in the area as well as walking the golf paths which were across the road.

Lakewood Resort - Osage Beach MO. (9/08/01)

In September we returned to the Lake of the Ozarks for a second visit of the summer. We stayed at the Lakewood Resort where we had enjoyed a visit last year. We enjoyed the lake, great resort staff and the beautiful scenery in the area. The most memorable event during the week was watching TV during breakfast and receiving the news flash the the World Trade Center had been attacked. We saw the second tower hit on live TV. I remember attending the resort potluck that evening and visiting with the other guests all of wondering what lay ahead. The local officials closed the road over the Bagnell Dam (which forms the lake) for a few hours for security purposes.

French Quarter - Branson MO. (10/05/01)

October 2001 found us heading for a family wedding in Dallas TX by way of Branson MO. We stayed at the French Quarter resort just off the Branson 76 strip. At that time there was only two buildings which were brand new and nicely done. This week was spent meeting and sharing timeshare experiences with other Fairfield (Wyndham) owners and taking in a few shows.
