We enjoyed several beautiful walks along the golf course from the resort to the famous Princeville Hotel.
From the Princeville Hotel we enjoyed beautiful views of Hanalei Bay. The crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay is surrounded by magnificent and grand mountains that guard and protect her. Although known as a premier surfing spot in the winter, this North Shore jewel is also a playground the rest of the year for swimming, canoe racing and fishing. The serene Wailua River winds its way by breathtaking waterfalls and flourishing jungles along the east side of Kauai. The Wailua River is fed by two main waterfalls, Opaekaa and Wailua Falls which cascade down from the wettest spot in the world, Mt. Waialeale. Click here to enjoy a short video of the falls up close.
We enjoyed visiting the Spouting Horn. This south-side wonder is a surf-driven 30-foot geyser that shoots through a submerged lava tube.
Beyond the spouting horn we drove on to view the dramatic and colorful 12-mile-long Waimea Canyon on Kauai's west side. Click here for a helicopter view of Waimea Canyon
