On January 2, 2003 we crossed the beautiful Coronado bridge from San Diego to Coronado Island for a two week stay at the Coronado Beach Resort. This resort is located across the street from the famous Hotel Del Coronado which is a beautiful historic resort of the rich and famous dating back at the turn of the century.

Coronado Island has a small town feel with beautiful beaches, neighborhoods, and views of San Diego across the bay. We enjoyed walks on the beach, bike rides, shopping, and several of the activities at the resort.
A large portion of the island is a Navel Air Station. We were there just before the Iraq war started so there was lots of activity with planes and ships preparing to go to the middle east.
